StartUp Croydon at Stanley Halls Winter Expo

Our stall at Stanley Halls, Enterprise Junction expoHere we are at the Enterprise Junction Winter Expo organised by Noo Thinking.  This was an event designed to focus on the north side of the borough and therefore we were able to speak to a whole sector of people that we haven’t reached out to before.  Geoff, Anna and I had some very interesting conversations and thoroughly enjoyed meeting the people of South Norwood – what a great bunch!

For us, the main aim of having a stall at the event at Stanley Halls in South Norwood was to make the general public aware of the services that we offer.  The most popular item for discussion was our 3-Day Business Training Course for only £20, that attracts over 200 participants a year and gives them the best opportunity to succeed with their new business.  Our free mentoring service was also of interest to many people, particularly as the prospect of starting up a business with a constant source of support and advice gives new businesses more confidence.

With three offices available at Weatherill House, we had several enquiries about our affordable all inclusive rental packages and Weatherill House in spring with the tree outside the building displaying white and pink blossomeasy opt in, opt out licence agreements, we are also making every effort this year to offer these units at a discount to start-up businesses. Those working from home were interested in our subsidised meeting space starting at just £10 per hour inc VAT, and the business mail address option for £25 pm inc VAT, giving businesses a professional address and mail holding or forwarding service.

The Expo itself was hugely successful, professional, well run and well attended and we would like to thank Noo Thinking for all of their hard work in making this such a worthwhile event.

There’s also a little tea/coffee shop on site that sells some amazing cakes and a bar is available to service events and activities.  To find out more about Stanley Halls, its programme of events or charges for room hire, please click here.
