Social Saturday – Social Enterprise Marketplace – 13th October 2018

Following the success of its Social Enterprise Networking launch event in July 2018, Croydon Council is once again proud to host the Social Enterprise Marketplace, which taking place on Social Saturday 13th October 2018

This is a free initiative to help raise awareness of social enterprises – businesses with a social mission – and encourage the general public or businesses to buy from them. The initiative has been running since 2014 and is organised by Social Enterprise UK (www.socialenterprise.org.uk). Croydon is celebrating Social Saturday as part of Croydon Year for Business with a dedicated Social Enterprise Marketplace at Croydon Central Library.

This will include the opportunity to speak with existing local social entrepreneurs, support organisations and encourage the general public to find out more about the benefits of buying from social enterprises. Key organisations offering support include Croydon Council, StartUp Croydon, Social Enterprise UK and NatWest.

If you would like to meet these social pioneers, or you are interested in finding out more about social enterprises, then feel free to drop-in at Croydon Central Library (adjacent to the Townhall/Clocktower), Croydon from 10am – 4pm on Saturday 13th October 2018.

There will be an opportunity to access a free Digital Zone managed and organised by MyOutSpace; providing one to one support around online safety, digital media, online presence, job search, CV help and much more.

Sellers will need to ensure they have permission to sell (e.g Insurance, VAT registration and Licences if applicable). For exhibitors supplying any food related goods, it will also be necessary to complete a Food Waiver/Disclaimer.
