Our Latest Incubator Winners Are…

In the last week of June we delivered the final stage of our Spring/ Summer 2023 Incubator programme and recently celebrated the achievements of those who completed the programme.
We run these courses twice a year to help local people develop their business skills and create a pitch deck / business plan with the support of a mentor.
Part funded by The National Lottery, the course is delivered over a 3-month period with in person training and contributions from many local professionals and culminates in our own mini Dragons Den.
At this stage of the course the candidates have developed a business plan and then deliver a 5 minute pitch to a selection of our trustees.
The process of presenting your business idea to our panel is a daunting experience but the growth our delegates experience through the process set them up to pitch for future funding for either investment, sales and even to find a business partner.
Our current prize fund comes from our own business and is limited to only £500 for the winner and two sets of £250 for the runners-up. We are delighted to announce that the awardees are:
Diane Thompson of Courage Over Comfort Coaching who provides executive coaching services especially to school employees and women
Fiona Ingvarsson of Fiona Elizabeth Photography – an award winning photographer and judge who provides coaching and training services to upskill wedding photographers in the industry
Maddy Pond who is setting up her livery yard and stables business, Dodds Grove Livery
Check out some pictures of some of our dedicated trustees, entrepreneurs and supporters who give their time freely to mentor participants and make up our panels including Lisa Allen, Richard Sumption, Kerry Hector, Paul Taylor, Siff Shah, Gordon Walker, AJ Dosani and Dee Miller.
This month we also had observations from Alex Lewis who has recently volunteered to support our mission.
We would love to expand this funding to really help make a difference to local peoples lives so are always looking for external funding to help make this fund more appropriate to help with our participants’ start-up costs!
