New Creative Digital Lab – coming to Croydon, Autumn 2023
We are delighted to announce that StartUp Croydon is working in partnership with BIG South London, South London Partnership and Croydon Council to create an exciting state-of-the-art Creative Digital Lab at our headquarters home in Weatherill House, just off Purley Way.
The state-of-the-art Creative Digital Lab will become a hub for the creative community and empower small business owners to develop digital content at industry standard in a prime location in South London.
To deliver this project within Croydon’s tenure as the London borough of Culture will empower local people to learn new digital skills and future-proof their small businesses.
The space will comprise:
- An industry standard suite for digital/audio production
- XR Studio facilities with Unreal engine
- Post-production video and audio editing facilities
- Recording studio for Podcasts and Voiceovers
- Training suite to upskill the community on digital skills

But the true power of our Creative Digital Lab lies in its ability to foster collaboration. We firmly believe that the most groundbreaking ideas emerge when people from different disciplines come together.
Our lab will serve as a melting pot of diverse talent, encouraging cross-disciplinary collaboration and sparking innovation.
Imagine the possibilities when an artist collaborates with a programmer or when a designer teams up with an entrepreneur. The boundaries of what we can achieve will be limitless.

We will be looking for film, video and audio production engineers on a freelance basis to be available to provide technical specialist support.
