On 16 May we were excited and delighted to welcome twelve entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs onto our new six month intensive business support programme, Building Business Horizons.

The programme aims to provide follow up support to those who have already attended our three day new business course in the form of monthly workshops dedicated to a separate topic each month and supported by free monthly masterclass sessions on areas for both social entrepreneurs and commercial businesses alike.

The first workshop, Demystifying The Business Plan, was delivered by owner/founder of White Label Creative – Jo Gumb who was also a graduate of our three day new business course over 10 years ago – and was dedicated to helping our participants in understanding why you need a business plan and what goes into it.

Failing To Plan Is A Plan To Fail

From the Executive Summary and knowing how to get products and services to market to financial projections and cashflows, participants went through the essential elements of a business plan.  Our first cohort have a lot more exciting workshops, events and further support to help them start and grow their businesses and social enterprises.

Further updates on their progress and the content of workshops will be published in later articles… so watch this space!
