Jennifer Corcoran, a Croydon local and owner of My Super Connector Social Media Consultancy, was crowned Social Media Influencer of 2018 at the celebrated Venus Awards at the start of December.

The awards follow months of selection through a combination of panel judges and public voting before the final announcement.

The Venus Awards, dubbed by Channel 4 as “The Working Women’s Oscars”, celebrate the vital contribution women in business make to the local, regional, and national economy. They are unique in that anyone can nominate a friend, client or family member.

Hosts for the evening’s inspiring celebrations were Tara Howard, founder of Venus Movement, and Michael Kurn. Tara Howard commented: “In our inaugural London ceremony we were thrilled to see such a successful ceremony taking place. The calibre of entries this year was really superb, and I know that all the judges had an extremely difficult time selecting their winners.”

Jennifer is predictably thrilled with her award but won’t be resting on her laurels for long. With an online course in development for 2019, she’s busy focusing on the core ingredients that have contributed to this year’s success. “I’m a bit shocked if the truth be told” says Jennifer, “it’s great to see LinkedIn getting acknowledged, and to be recognised for the way I help others master this vital business tool”.

We are delighted to hear of Jennifer’s achievement and would like to thank her for her contribution to the Croydon business community, where she is very well known and has put in many hours of free advice to assist small companies and start-ups.
