Croydon’s Good Employer Charter Launched!

Local businesses can now apply for an exciting initiative and gain accreditation to the Croydon Good Employer Charter (GEC) and become members of the Good Employer network.
The charter which is free of charge to join aims to boost the borough’s economy through using local supply chains, creating job opportunities, ensuring employees are paid the London Living Wage and implementing equality and diversity practices.
The Charter will give local businesses the opportunity to be recognised as a good local employer. Accredited businesses will become members of the Good Employer Network that aims to help businesses adopt responsible business practices and give them access to local contacts, suppliers, other local businesses and opportunities whilst sharing knowledge with their peers.
They will also gain access to Good Employer learning and networking events as well as the opportunity to apply for a one-off discretionary business rate discount of up to £1,000 if they are an SME.
To become accredited, pledge to work towards joining the charter or for more information about the network visit http://www.goodemployercroydon.com/
