Croydon Social Enterprises Celebrate Social Saturday

In October each year, social enterprises across the country get together locally to celebrate and raise awareness of what they do and sell their products and services to the public.

Opened by the Mayor of Croydon, the worshipful Bernadette Khan, a selection of Croydon’s social entrepreneurs set up stall on 13 October in the entrance to Croydon Library in the Clocktower to meet potential customers and users of their services and some of our SEEK social enterprise programme participants took part.

They were also encouraged by Cabinet Member for Economy and Jobs, Cllr Manju Shahul-Hameed, to aspire to becoming leaders and role models for their local communities.

We couldn’t agree more and are very proud to be supporting not only those who want to start a for-profit business but also those who want to help towards easing social issues that Croydon and the world are experiencing.
