Croydon Business Venture promotes business excellence

Croydon Business Venture is proud to again be supporting the Croydon Business Excellence Awards which will this year take place on October 6.

A launch event for the awards is taking place at Impact House in Edridge Road on Thursday, March 10 (6pm to 8pm).

This year’s ceremony will again be a hot ticket for Croydon’s thriving and ambitious business community following the success of the inaugural awards in 2015.

David Robinson, chairman of Croydon Business Venture, added: “As the accredited Enterprise Agency for Croydon, supporting start-ups and entrepreneurs is what we are all about so we are delighted to once again be sponsoring the Best New Business category.

“The standard of entries last year were testament to those who put a huge amount of energy and commitment into setting up in business.

“As we know from the start-ups in our care at Weatherill House Business Centre, setting up in business is incredibly demanding but it can also be hugely rewarding and Croydon Business Venture is passionate about providing the support new businesses need.”

The awards also have the support of Croydon Council and Croydon Chamber of Commerce.

Councillor Toni Letts, cabinet member for economic development at the London Borough of Croydon, said: “Croydon is a primary business centre in the south east and London’s most ambitious enterprising borough 14,815 firms currently operating here according to the Office of National Statistic.

“Supporting the awards demonstrates Croydon’s commitment to our small business community, which is the backbone of our local economy.

“I do hope that as many businesses as possible will enter.”
