Covid19 – Government Support Grants

The government has announced a number different Covid-19 grants to support businesses. Each grant is for different business types and based on specific periods of time when areas were under national or local restrictions.
-
Local Restrictions Support Grants are available to eligible businesses with a Business Rates Account Number.
-
The Additional Restrictions Grant is available to eligible businesses that don’t have a Business Rates Account Number.
Phase Two of the Additional Restrictions Grant will be opening soon.
-
Businesses that had to close from 5 January 2021 because of the national lockdown, could be eligible for a one-off payment of up to £9,000. This is called a Closed Business Lockdown Payment (CBLP). The CBLP will be paid to your business automatically if you have already received, or applied for the Local Restrictions Support Grant. If you feel your business is eligible for a CBLP, but you have not applied for a Local Restrictions Support Grant yet, there is more information available on the following downloadable “support grants for business guide”:

Please note: you may have a Business Rates Account Number and not pay any rates due to rate relief. If you’re unsure whether your business has a Business Rates Account Number please call 020 8726 7000, option 4, or email croynndr@croydon.gov.uk to confirm before completing an application. Completing the wrong application form will result in a declined request.
Use the government’s business support finder to see which grants your business is eligible for.
It is important that you apply for the correct grants available to your business.
