Business Start-Up & Go Bootcamp – 25th January 2024

The Business Start-up & Go Business Bootcamp is the first in a series of three Bootcamps to help you start a business, keep it going and continue to grow it.

Once you’ve had a great business idea and are determined to make it a reality, where do you start?

It can be daunting having to figure out everything you need to do and then make sure you do it all the right way, but our one-day Business Start-Up and Go Bootcamp covers a full range of topics to get you up and running the right way, and with a set of tools to help you grow your business.

The Business Start-up Bootcamp includes the following modules:

  • Start-up costs – Personal Survival Budget – what do you need to earn before you can stop working?
  • Sole Trader vs Limited company – the pros and cons of each
  • Paying Yourself – how do you do it and how much do you get?
  • Validation – how do you research if your business idea is viable?
  • SWOT Analysis – what are your Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats?
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset – what is it, and how do you develop one?

In addition to the above, after the Bootcamp, each delegate will receive two 1-hour follow-up one-to-one sessions in the following weeks for bespoke advice.

Saffron Saunders, StartUp Croydon CEO

Saffron is a well-known face in the business support arena having been in the South London business community since 2013. As a key stakeholder, Saffron is able to bring in key players to help Start Up Croydon move into the digital age, supporting our economy and delivering excellence.

Saffron will be leading a session on the Entrepreneurial Mindset and how you need to think if you want to run your own business.

Ben Oram, StartUp Croydon Ops Manager

Ben is StartUp Croydon’s Operations Manager with responsibility for making sure the building runs smoothly, tenants and visitors are looked after and the accounts are managed on a day to day basis.

On the course he takes us through the Personal Survival Budget, thinking about how much money you need to be able to pay yourself to live your life outside the business.

Veshali Patel, Pinnacle Advisory Services

Veshali is the founder of Pinnacle Advisory Services and has been an ACCA qualified accountant for over 20 years. She says it’s her mission to help you achieve your goals and aspirations, enabling you to have more time and money to do the things you love.

Veshali will be taking us through how to set up your business, how to pay yourself and what accountants can do to take away some of the headaches of running a business.
