Our collaboration with BOXPARK Croydon to help support early stage food entrepreneurs win a pop-up kitchen got off to a fantastic start at our launch event on 19 May.
Food entrepreneurs, mentors and the BOXPARK Croydon team came together to provide information and guidance on the opportunity where up to three food entrepreneurs will win a free week long pop-up with one lucky entrepreneur winning the chance to trade at the unit for a further three months.
Saffron Saunders, CEO of StartUp Croydon and Dan Fullarton, Head of Partnerships at BOXPARK kicked the event off with an introduction to the support offered and BOXPARK’s history, ethos and values.
After hearing more about the opportunity from our very own Programmes Manager, Geoff Ranson, attendees also gained valuable tips from Andrew Taylor, Managing Director of Bart and Taylor than owns and manages Mr Fox in Croydon’s Surrey Street.
Following the event, those who were interested were able to visit the pop-up unit to familiarise themselves with the layout and how their dreams of moving from home kitchen or market stall could be realised.
We also got a taste of some delicious flapjacks from one of BOXPARK’s resident operators Oatopia which were absolutely fantastic!
