Job Description

As a Marketing/Admin Executive, you will be responsible for supporting various marketing activities, managing administrative tasks, and utilising your proficiency in WordPress to maintain our online presence.

Additionally, your creativity and PR connections will play a vital role in driving brand awareness and enhancing our public relations efforts.

This post is part funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Position Details:

Marketing/Admin Executive

Main Purpose of Job: Supporting the delivery and Promotion of the E-Business Programme and Promoting the Creative Digital Lab.

Relationships: Reporting to CEO

Based at/hours: Hybrid from our head office just off Purley Way

Full-time 35 hours per week

Contract: 21 months year Fixed Term (Ending 31 March 2025)

Salary: Based on experience

Main Roles and Responsibilities

Marketing:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Assist in content creation for various marketing channels, including social media, email newsletters, blog posts, and website updates.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new trends and opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the creation and distribution of marketing materials, such as brochures, presentations, and press releases.
  • Help maintain and update customer databases and mailing lists.

Public Relations:

  • Leverage your creativity and PR connections to identify opportunities for brand exposure and media coverage.
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with journalists, influencers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of PR campaigns, including drafting press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR activities and outcomes.

Website and Online Presence:

  • Utilise your expertise in WordPress to update and maintain our website, ensuring it remains visually appealing, user-friendly, and up-to-date.
  • Manage website content, including text, images, videos, and blog posts, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Optimise website content and structure for search engine optimisation (SEO) purposes.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing graphics and images for the website and other digital marketing materials.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in web design and user experience.

Project Administrator

  • Assisting our Project manager with tasks related to current activity, including research and development of projects and arrangements for meetings.
  • Marketing and administration of the E-Business Programme funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) to include:
  • Designing marketing strategy and material to promote the project in the South London Partnership (SLP) sub-region including Croydon, Sutton, Merton, Richmond and Kingston
  • Identifying relevant business organisations in SLP boroughs and making recommendations to Project Manager and
  • Ensure all marketing materials have correct logos
  • Liaising with business advisers and front-line project staff on recording information required by the project
  • Arranging business advisers’ diaries and researching appropriate events for business advisers to attend
  • Collating and uploading evidence for quarterly claims onto Microsoft Teams
  • Liaising with Project Manager on reconciling quarterly claims
  • Attending internal and consortium based strategic meetings and take minutes/notes
  • Assist with logistics of local events created as part of the E-Business programme
  • Assisting with post-support evaluation activities
Skills & Experience
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in marketing and administration roles.
  • Proficiency in WordPress and experience in website management.
  • Strong creativity and ability to think outside the box.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing channels.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with graphic design software and tools is a plus.
  • Existing PR connections and experience in PR campaigns is highly desirable.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Working in a project environment on EU, UK government or Local Authority funded programmes
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft Office tools
