Here are some of the ways we can work together:
StartUp Croydon will be celebrating 40 years of helping local businesses in 2023, and we are planning to organise a number of high-profile local fundraising events and initiatives to help celebrate and impact more people in need.
From running marathons and climbing mountains to holding cake sales and fundraising balls, customers, employees, and members would be fundraising for a great cause, working better together as a team and engaging with business CSR strategies.
A Charity of the Year partnership can offer benefits, including

From offering free legal advice to having a specialist employee seconded to StartUp Croydon to support the delivery of our projects, your business’s skills and expertise can help change lives.
We’re also extremely interested in receiving donations of ‘money-can’t-buy’ auction prizes and equipment.

SPONSORSHIP AMOUNT: £100 – £500
1 x £50 course fee + £50 donation towards running costs
5 x £50 course fee + £250 donation to charity to provide cost of 1-1s
THE BENEFITS TO TIER ONE SPONSORSHIP:
Many of our delegates are unemployed and find it difficult to find employment. StartUp Croydon helps those who consider self-employment as an alternative to employment through a range of services and training support. By donating whatever you can to our charity, you will be helping us support more local people to create their own businesses, grow Croydon’s economy and become employers of the future.
However much or as little as you can afford, your donation could help towards funding a person’s place on one of our programmes or the general running of the charity.
By choosing the Tier One sponsorship level, you will be specifically helping an unemployed or disadvantaged person attend our three-day StartUp & Go Bootcamp. This course is an essential starting point for anyone looking to launch their dream business or support the local community by creating a social enterprise. Self-employment and learning about setting up and running a business also provide a range of skills that can be transferrable to employment or further education.
DESCRIPTION: Sponsor a desk within our co-working area
AMOUNT: £500 – £750
£25 x 10 days / 20 half days + £250 donation
£25 x 15 days / 30 half days + £375 donation
WHY YOU SHOULD SPONSOR:
By choosing this sponsorship level, you will be helping provide a start-up or early-stage entrepreneur / social entrepreneur with the opportunity to have a dedicated desk in our co-working area. The cost of regular office space is a big barrier in the early stages of a business, and having a dedicated cost-effective option can be the difference for someone in need of an alternative to their kitchen table.
DESCRIPTION: Sponsoring one or a series of masterclasses
AMOUNT: £750 – £1,000
£10 – £12.50 per head (based on 40 attendees)
£350 – £500 donation
WHY YOU SHOULD SPONSOR:
By choosing this sponsorship level you will be helping entrepreneurs and small businesses increase their knowledge, and skills and learn techniques to further establish and grow their businesses. Building on a series of informal yet professional masterclasses delivered in the Autumn/Winter 2022 season, we are planning our next set of masterclasses for Winter/Spring 2023.
In addition, we run more regular networking and information events with engaging panel discussions, including celebrating International Women’s Day, International Men’s Day, and Global Entrepreneurship Week, and there will be the opportunity to sponsor these. Attendance at previous events has been in excess of 70 people.

AMOUNT: £1,000 – £5,000
£500 towards seed funding award + £500 towards charity

By choosing this sponsorship level, you will be helping towards the expansion of our award-winning incubator programme by contributing a financial award for an early-stage start-up to help pay for essential start-up costs.

£2,500 towards a larger award + £2,500 donation towards the administration costs of delivering the incubator
