Join us to celebrate our 40th anniversary at the StartUp Croydon evening cocktail party on Thursday, July 13th, from 6 pm to midnight at Old Palace School, Croydon. Buy your tickets now for our summer party celebrating 40 years in the borough of Croydon.
Geoffrey and his twin brother David were joint managing directors of the Dove Group PLC, Austin and Jaguar main dealers, the business started by their father in 1925.
The Doves empire grew to more than 15 garages across the South of England, giving great economic wealth to the region. However, Geoffrey had a social conscience and wanted to offer inspiration and guidance to others as they started their journey.
Geoffrey was one the key stakeholders to support Bernard Weatherill when they launched Croydon Enterprise Agency in 1983, and was honoured by the Queen in 2001 with an MBE for services to small businesses in Croydon. Geoffrey still likes to keep up with our activities to this day.
We would like to honour Geoffrey by marking his contribution to our small businesses by naming a new award for contribution to the Croydon economy The Geoffrey Dove Award.
We will present the award at our summer party, so be sure to nominate the person you feel should win this award.
NOMINATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO NOMINATED.
